Projects have included working with major national and multi-national corporations on the design of their packaging.  Clients want to know and understand what they can do to make their packaging more compatible with recycling programs.   They also want to know why, when they produce a package that fulfills all of the technical requirements for recycling why their package is not and will not be recycled.  Not always is the package the problem.  Crow's Nest Environmental helps companies understand the realities of the recycling system and the capabilities of materials recovery facilities (MRF); how will the package move through the MRF and how will it be captured for recycling.  We will also help companies understand municipalities' perspectives and their policies surrounding what can and cannot be recycled, and why.

Crow's Nest Environmental is currently working with Loblaw and Mother Parker's on some strategic product development initiatives, helping them lead on the sustainability front.
